17 January 2008 Part of a three-dimensional skin rejuvenation: CUTERA TITAN INFRARED TREATMENT FOR A FIRM SKIN
Skin ageing manifests itself in the 3 skin layers and, therefore, for optimum results, it is best to tackle this three-dimensionally. Cutera treats the epidermis, the mid-dermis and the deep dermis only with light, without using chemicals, needles or abrasive methods. Cutera combines pulsed light, laser light and infrared light for effective results, painless and with immediate recovery for the patient!
Indications for a Cutera 3D treatment are sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, diffuse redness and pigment spots, enlarged pores and damaged skin structure. Depending on where the skin is affected, one will opt for treatment aimed at either one skin layer or for a total approach of all three skin layers. In the first place, this implies a visually impressive result for the patient, and for the person treating the patient this total solution is, of course, also especially beneficial.
Cutera Titan: collagen contraction
The Titan infrared treatment of the deep dermis works on the basis of light absorption in water. After the skin is pre-cooled, the infrared light provides subcutaneous heat for a depth of 2.5 mm through a continued multisecond pulse, in other words collagen denaturation at about 55°C. That phase is immediately followed by post-cooling. The collagen contraction resulting from the Titan treatment firms up the skin. This immediate result does not occur in every patient: firming is maximised after the third treatment and the effect is at its best when this collagenesis process has been completed, i.e. after about 3 months. The treatment is completely painless and 100% safe for all types of skin, because, among other reasons, there is no damage to the melanine. This also applies to the treatment of sensitive areas such as, for example, the neck, because only 30 to 35 J/cm² energy is used. The skin-firming process is also the ideal solution for patients who will never opt for a facelift because of the latter’s invasive nature.
Cutera Laser Genesis: active in the papillary dermis
With the aid of laser light, diffuse redness, enlarged pores and fine lines are tackled at the leather skin level. This part of the Cutera works without contact, on the basis of a unique pulse of 0.3 ms, and generates an overall warming of the papillary dermis and of the micro-vascular structures. It is a method which may be applied separately, but which also forms an integral part of the three-dimensional Cutera treatment.
Cutera IPL: a smooth epidermis
The Cutera application based on pulsed light – IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light – is aimed at improving the quality of the epidermis. Indications here are, among others, rosacea, pigment spots with little contrast and fine widened veins. A new handset which may be adjusted in variable wavelengths (programmable spectrum) commensurate with the pigment treatment of the veins, creates the possibility of working with an even greater focus on the results.
3 types of light for 3 effects. Each of these treatments may be offered separately and will provide optimum results where necessary. For an effective overall treatment of the 3 skin layers, the pulsed light, the laser and the infrared light may, however, also be combined. Safe and without down-time for the patient!
Lasermedico, your own laser solution!
Lasermedico, established over 20 years ago, was the first division of the B&Co group.
It is based on the basic vision that medical activity in many medical domains would develop towards less invasive treatments and therefore towards laser technology. This patient-friendly trend has continued to take hold in the area of muscle and tendon injuries as well as skin rejuvenation, hair removal, vascular problems such as couperose, skin tightening, lipolysis, removal of tattoos and many other treatments.
From 1987 Lasermedico has developed the broadest range of physiotherapeutic lasers, medical-aesthetical lasers and Wellness applications.
