TRADITIONAL LASER THERAPY
Laser therapy is a conventional therapeutic technique, painless and non-invasive, that can be applied in traumatology and revalidation when there is pain, inflammation or oedema.
Traditional laser therapy is mainly based on the use of diode laser light that transfers energy to the cells, improving metabolism and, as a result, enabling treatment of various injuries.
According to the type of laser source and difference in emission modalities, the laser pulses have different therapeutic effects and therefore clinical applications:
- Continuous laser beams act fast on inflammations, but slower on pain.
- Pulsed laser beams have a direct effect on pain, but only long-term effect on inflammations.
There is currently a new development involving synchronisation of pulses so that analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects occur simultaneously. This effect can be seen with MLS therapy and HILT therapy.
The IDEA terza serie generator can be used with 1 or 2 independent outputs for the different monodiode laser handpieces. The available handpieces can contain continuous or pulsed emissions with a broad choice of power and frequency levels.
