Product operations

The Deka Synchro HP Platform offers 3 different laser sources and 9 UPL Pulsed Light handpieces in one device. The base module is the Long Pulse Nd:YAG laser and the most powerful on the market. The SynchroHP Long Pulse Nd:YAG laser module is equipped with a large number of exchangeable, quick-release handpieces (of 2.5 mm to 20 mm) with automatic spot recognition. The effectiveness of the Nd:YAG laser has been clinically proven for hair removal of all skin types, vascular indications (telangiecatsias, hemangiomas, port-wine stains) on the face or body and non-ablative skin rejuvenation.

Synchro HP offers a choice of UPL handpieces, with a selection of three different emission spectra and versatility in applications from skin rejuvenation to hair removal. Three different surfaces are possible (2.1 cm², 4.6 cm² en 8.3 cm²) for optimal access to all body parts. Integrated cooling of UPL handpieces ensures extra patient safety and comfort.
Two extra optional laser handpieces are available with the SynchroHP Platform, namely Er:YAG (2940 nm) for ablative skin resurfacing and Q-Switch Nd:YAG (1064 nm) for removal of tattoos, both with a spot size of 2.5 and 4 mm.

Q&A

Can I start with a minimal configuration and later expand the SynchroHP?

Yes. The software of the SynchroHP automatically recognises all available handpieces, which can also be purchased at a later time. New developments will also be compatible with the SynchroHP.

Can the SynchroHP be transported?

No, due to the high performance level of the SynchroHP (power supply, cooling) the device is quite large and heavy and therefore not suited to regular transportation.

Why is a TOP HAT beam profile important?

This characteristic ensures that the energy density ( = Fluence in J/cm²) is the same over the entire spot. In this way there are no so-called Hot Spots that can cause epidermal damage.

Why is high peak power important?

For vascular indications, it is important to adjust the pulse duration to the thickness of the blood vessel. Extremely short pulse duration is required for very fine blood vessels. Only devices with a sufficiently high peak power can deliver sufficient energy at such short pulse duration. A high peak power is also an important condition for the removal of fine hairs.

What is unique about the Deka UPL principle?

Due to the U-shape of the flashlamp, the light source is extremely close to the skin and there is minimal lateral scattering. As a result, less energy is required, there is a higher level of patient safety and longer lamp life (low operating cost, guarantee of 60 000 pulses).

Why are the cooled handpieces important?

The Deka cooled UPL handpieces (Photosilk, Photosilk Plus and SynchroHP) are maintained at a constant temperature of 10 °C. This enables active cooling of the epidermis before, during and after the pulse. The cooling enhances patient safety and comfort.
