Coordinated and synchronised emission

Until recently, it was not possible to achieve simultaneous analgesic effects of pulsed emission and anti-inflammatory effects of continuous laser emission with classic laser therapy. MLS therapy overcame this problem by using a new and advanced impulse, which is a coordinated and synchronised emission of multiple laser pulses, characterised by different wavelengths and different emission modalities.

Continuous 808 nm emission, characterised by intense anti-oedematic and anti-inflammatory effects, is synchronised with a 905 nm pulsed emission, allowing the strong analgesic effect to be achieved.

This synchronisation is obtained by using a refined electronic system that controls the laser source, called MLS (Multiwave Locked System). The MLS pulse and MLS Therapy are FDA approved.

Modulation of the therapeutic effect

Thanks to the MLS synchronisation, a refined and complex light impulse is achieved, which is suitable for transferring light energy to cells and tissues of the affected anatomical structure with a greater effectiveness than in traditional laser therapy.

Furthermore, the contribution of each component emission to the definitive impulse can be determined with the MLC control system. This makes it possible to bring about personalised treatments that require a more analgesic, anti-inflammatory or anti-oedematic effect, dependent on the nature of the pathology and development of the injury.

On top of that, knowledge about anatomy, trigger point localisations and the position of nociceptors within anatomical structures, allows us to define the Target area as optimal treatment zone in order to activate the greatest number of receptors simultaneously. In this manner, large tissue volumes can be activated and therapeutic effects achieved rapidly.

The MLS family consists out of three different models. All MLS devices have an extensive database of pre-programmed settings for various indications.
 

• M6 is a completely automatic and robotised system for applying multi-target applications of MLS therapy. The moving head with large optic zone enables automatic scanning of large treatment areas without an operator.
• MiX5 has a large optic zone in a freely positionable head, for operator-free treatment of a fixed local zone.
• M1 enables application of MLS therapy on local pain and trigger points using a handpiece. As the diameter of the treatment area cannot be greater than two cm, this is the ideal device when working with local trigger points.
